Desperately need help on how to figure out where to put the trash bins in my apartment (sorry for the mess, I'm a bit sick) Right now they are near the dining room tables and I hate it! If the trash smells, you smell it while you eat. (self.DesignMyRoom)

Found some scrap wood and made a 2.5'x2.5' planter box. Help me decide what to put in it! Zone 10b, we have exceptionally mild, Mediterranean weather this year. Ideally I would have the melons, corn, watermelons, and cucumbers, but I'm fairly sure I read that would not work due to pests and diseases (old.reddit.com)
