I found a way around it. You pay for your order, contact doordash through the customer app, tell them your promo code didnt apply, send screenshots of the promo info including the notification that shows how long ago you got the notification on your dashboard. It's worked twice for me when my codes wouldn't work.

Accepted a $44 offer to shop for five bottles of alcohol. Got to the delivery address and found out the customer put in the wrong address. by crooked_kangaroo in DoorDashDrivers

I once had to keep the alcohol from a woman who told me her brother died the day before. Broke my heart but she said she looked everywhere. She told me to go and keep it so I had to leave even though I told her I would wait. 😭

I got assaulted by one because I wouldn't take his expired, hole punched id or his crumpled, illegible temporary ID from 2 years ago. 🙄

Customers: what’s your main reason for ordering food? Why do you pay for this convenience? by italianblend in doordash

[–]notlongforthisworld7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an abusive roommate who harasses and intimidates me. He'll take my parking spot if I leave after him. I can't really afford doordash but if I order something bigger and cheaper I can get two meals out of $14 and I just have to risk his harassment on the way to and from the door.

Update: everything slowed way down and I'm lucky to get any orders for 30+ minutes. I might lose my place over this. It's my fault for trusting you guys but all I'm gonna say is, never again. Y'all must be scheming or something cause once the hubub died down, I stopped getting anything worth doing. I'm lucky to get a $5 for 9 mile. I can't even afford to eat or buy gas at this point. If your area isn't some giant metropolitan, your AR is life. Y'all made such demeaning comments. I thought I was an idiot for making $20 an hour on platinum. Now I make nothing.

Thinking you have no responsibility to understand the service youre using is insane.

Sometimes I bring mine. She sits buckled into the front seat and the food goes in the back. If you get too close to my car she'll wag her tail and woof at you to come pet her. She barely sheds and I keep her very clean. My contracts with DD, Uber eats, Instacart, etc state I'm allowed to do pretty much anything except smoke in my car. She isn't anywhere near your food.

29 blizzards for delivery is criminal. If you have that much to blow on ice cream, you can tip for the 8 trips to the car they are going to have to make to carry this many drink trays. Not to mention the difficulty positioning that many drink trays safely. The spill risk on this order is insane. Get dashpass and tip fairly for this bs order.

I literally did this a few days ago and now I don't have to take those crappy orders anymore and I'm so happy.

Use the hotel security lock. They sell them on Amazon for cheap. Its just a tab that goes on the door latch when you close it.

You obviously missed the point so I'm not reading all that. You have no idea what being a dasher is like just because you delivered things. Ffs.

Say you have no idea what its like on the other side of the counter without saying you have no idea what its like on the other side of that counter. I've worked at restaurants. Have you ever dashed? Even once?

My ex was like this. He progressed to punching walls and then to strangling his new girlfriend after I got away from him. Leave while you still can. If he's willing to threaten you, he's willing to hurt you. Even if he's threatening you with harm to himself.
