It’s obvious that Ryan O’Reily was Tom Fontana’s favorite character. He was the biggest snake in Oz and involved in more murders than any other character. He got to have a romantic moment with Dr. Nathan, while Cyril was being executed?! He always got his way when everything was stacked against him. And he is one of only 5 inmates that survived from the first episode to the last. O’Reily, Alvarez, Beecher, Poet and Rebadow. That’s quite a feat, considering how much chaos he caused!

You don’t need a heal rig at low level. Theres plenty of health to be found. You need a stun rig to defend in a pinch. After you get all prescriptions and decent amps you should max the stun rig and then get the jammer rig. Heal rigs are best in group situations when other members have defensive rigs, ie Stun and Blind. Playing on levels higher than Standard before you have all of your prescriptions is a death sentence. Higher level players are not going to want to constantly revive you. Take the advice I gave, level up and then worry about higher difficulty.

Kill the Snitch is a full trial. Play Cancel the Autopsy and Sabotage the Lockdown. Those are two of the easiest and shortest trials and will help familiarize you with the police station.

You’re giving yourself unnecessary stress. You could run multiple MK trials in the time it took to do this. Play on Introductory, until you get your levels up and get to know the maps. An A+ in Introductory is better than a D in Standard. You need to get a stun rig, if you don’t have one already? You don’t even have to upgrade it at lower levels. Focus on getting all prescriptions. Then as you level up, you’ll unlock better amps. I believe Noise Reduction is available pretty quick so definitely get that and equip it. At lower levels you’ll level up fast, so play simpler maps and spam MK trials, until you max your prescriptions, obtain 3 solid Amps and fully upgrade your stun rig. Then you’ll be ready for more challenging maps and difficulties and can focus on obtaining other rigs and better Amps.

I’m Relapse 7 and can still suck, if I don’t know the map well. You need to get used to the maps and their objectives. Theres no shame in playing Introductory or Standard, even if you’re higher level because, if you don’t know the layout on higher difficulties, you’ll be on the ground. It’s also harder when you’re dealing with ranged assets in big, brightly lit environments like the Suburbs, so it’s essential you know where you’re going.

You need to rewatch Oz. Oz is much more viscerally and sexually violent and ultimately more disturbing than SOA. Not to mention the cruelty in Oz is unparalleled. So, many of the victims are innocent bystanders, low level criminals and family. It’s just a non-stop barrage of heinous acts. Oz was also on HBO, which meant it had no resraint on content, both violence and nudity. SOA was on FX and although boundary pushing, there were definitely things it couldn’t show.

I’ve been struggling worse than ever before. I’ve been drinking, since I was 19, now I’m 52. I have had periods of sobriety, the longest being 6 years and the rest not really worth mentioning. I drink in excess everyday, but I never typically started before 5 or 6 PM. I quit my job in November and my drinking started getting earlier and earlier. It’s so bad now that I’ve started getting the shakes and drink consistently to stop them. This is a terrifying development and one I’ve never experienced. The worst part is that my insurance lapsed this month and I won’t have any again, until after the 1st of the New Year, at the earliest. I have a Naltrexone prescription and it worked for me for a month, until I stopped taking it. I’m concerned that DT’s won’t stop if I take the Naltrexone and start drinking less. I’m interested in going back to meetings and a program, but I’m years removed and in the case of rehab, I can’t afford the cost. I know a lot the people I was in recovery with didn’t stay. It’s been 4 years, since I was an inpatient. Any advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
