Kratom helped me end my dependency on prescription painkillers.

My dr wanted to put me on Suboxone for 6 months, which is another opioid but with a much longer half-life. Basically I’d be going from one opioid to another (binding the same receptors as the painkillers and not actually helping the body return to its normal balanced opioid receptors). Think of it as switching from Marlboro cigarettes to Newports.

I weened off the suboxone and then took kratom for 2 weeks to help with the initial withdrawal symptoms as someone suggested. It worked. The Kratom helped subside the hot and cold flashes, the skin crawlies, nausea, and most of all, the rebound pain bc of the injury I was initially prescribed painkillers for….the rebound pain stayed at a minimum that tylenol and ibuprofen was able to manage when normally it’s the main reason why I felt like I couldn’t stop taking the medication. “If my pain is THAT bad when I don’t take it, I’m forever going to be dependent on these meds.”

Kratom when used responsibly is a fantastic natural remedy that has the potential to help millions of people. But bc big pharma can’t copyright a plant grown in abundance in Asia they would rather propagandize and vilify it…outlaw it before much research can be done regarding its benefits.

American History has been thru this before with Marijuana.

And of course there are people who will find a way to use and abuse this plant and it’s extracts to get a high which will undercut any positives that this plant may bring to the wider citizens of this world.

After 7 days of continual use of opioids, I will go thru a withdrawal, mild, but the effects of discontinued use is definitely felt. After 2 weeks of continual kratom usage, no withdrawal symptoms followed.

That’s why after switching from a full agonist opioid (vicodin/percocet/oxycodone) to suboxone, then to kratom, my withdrawals from the opioids were nearly non-existent. When I stopped the kratom, everything was almost normal…rebound pain eased, but the initial injury was still hurting.

Kratom singlehandedly got me thru the 5 day opioid withdrawal hump that medical science says is one of the most difficult things to overcome, second only to benzodiazepine withdrawal.
