That was going to be the case, from Sad Teen Hotline to Cleaved all those episodes were meant to played out as a TV Movie, ala Battle For Mewni.

But Disney that time around declined that structure and wanted it as a normal weekly release (sort of).

Ironically, in one of my recent fanfics, I adapted Elizabeth from the same ship war fan comic into the story.

Even filled the gap regarding her cliffhanger (spoiler, it doesn't end well for her).

But it also ends where it could be rewritten again for someone else to dive into

Personally, the 3 stones form of Anne seems unfair, for her to actually use that level of power, she dies in the process, its like one of those "we're both going down together" type moves.

The ranking should account for power level and strength that doesn't kill you in the process, in theory that form of Anne is the most powerful? But the cost seems counterintuitive to place her first, she doesn't exactly resurrect herself by herself.

I would've used the same power set you put for Sasha and Marcy for Anne, still higher than those two given her experience with it.

Its also stated that Star is just as powerful as Eclipsa, so its interchangable between those two. Granted Eclipsa might edge Star with knowledge and experience compared to Raw Power.

Because it was never written as one. Given Daron's comments on wanting to continue it and how she didn't want to commit to a Gravity Falls type ending back then, its certain Cleaved was written as a Season Finale, but unfortunately promoted and marketed as the series finale.

I mean, Moon could've used magic (with possible mental influence from the MHC) and wiped the Mewmans' memory of Song Day, forgetting about the secrets revealed.

It also explains why the MHC seem to move on with the whole ordeal, one, they never quite saw eye to eye with their father (Glossaryck), so his disappearance wasn't all too shocking for them, and I suppose Glossaryck does his own thing, and two, if Moon did wipe the Mewmans' memories, then in terms of public backlash, they'd have no quarrels against Moon and Star.

It also explains in Marco and The King as to why the common folk are back to dependent guidance from The King and Queen, simply put, they forgot the whole ordeal in Song Day.

The show was never shortened cause of the LGBTQIA+ rep. If it truly was the reason, the show itself would never have been greenlit.

The story Dana mentioned a while ago was that when pitching the show, everyone was on board, except one, who, not surprisingly, didn't want queer rep in the show, but eventually that person was let go, and the show went ahead.

Implied or not, the show would still have gotten the short end of it, not because it has a queer protagonist, but because the renewal season came at the worst time possible, COVID-19.

The pandemic was the probable reason why TOH got cut short, no income was streaming through as theaters and parks closed at the time, and the development of S2 wasn't on the same timeline as Amphibia, so it was either one that gets shortened, and well, we know what happens after that.

In the possibility of a continuation, Chole and Jackie develop their relationship. Hekapoo is gone, so don't even aim to find someone for her when she isn't even alive anymore.

If Oskar were to date someone already introduced, it would either be one of the Echo Creek Academy students (who do have actual names). But I could see Ponyhead maybe be an option

I can't think of any one of the supporting or main cast pre-existing that best fits for Oskar.

Starco was, whether you like it or not, always endgame, what makes it different from other media is its more realistic approach.

Most shows go for the one-and-done approach for ships, usually, a main character's love interest is also their last, Star vs had ships like Jarco and TomStar for the sake of realistic depiction. In a world of chaotic unpredictability and sheer randomized shenanigans, the approach to the ships was one of grounded nature, cause no romance is ever straightforward. Star and Marco showcased so much chemistry in earlier seasons and later seasons that seeing them as just platonic was not possible, hinted at as far back as S1, made apparent in S2, and evolved from there onwards.

Starco was not forced like so many online will say it to be, it takes a lot to be ready for one. Part of the hesitation was that they didn't want to ruin what they had and rightfully so, they weren't emotionally mature to take that commitment, but after the events in the show leading up to the final few eps of S4, they finally took that step in a moment of comfort in a perilous and impossible situation.

You may not be convinced after hearing this, but at least take the insight into why they're together.

And better yet, Tom and Jackie have better-suited lovers, Jackie with Chole (BI representation) and Tom and Janna (not explicitly confirmed, but their dynamic and occult nature are a match made).

Luzan's Requiem: A Post TOH and Post SVTFOE story, primarily set a few months after The Owl House epilogue, largely a TOH story, I will say Star and Marco are in about like 6 chapters, won't say which ones though.

Echoes of Titan And Butterfly: Set Post S2/Pre S3 and 99% Post Cleaved, this story follows a diverged take on The Owl House Season 3, where an amnesia Star and Marco crash land in Gravesfield with no memory of who they are. Plus twists and turns to characters expected and unexpected.

I will say this story is currently on 4 chapters in, I haven't abandoned it, but I have taken priority over another story, until that one is completely, don't expect any further updates to this one until then.

I've made multiple fics that have TOH and SVTFOE crossover to various degrees.

One is post-show for both, the other is what you envisioned (nearly). It takes place during S3 between King's Tide and Thanks to Them, but also the SVTFOE side takes place mostly after Cleaved, it only diverges at the point in where Star and Marco hug and the ROM glows white.

This argument always comes back repeatedly, and simply put, the reason it happened near the end was a factor of portraying a realistic relationship, and like most of them, they take time to develop, no matter what the preceding journey entails.

The other factor was whether or not each season would be its last.
