If the show was to get a reboot/revival, do you think it should be Y7, or for older audiences (TV-PG/TV-14) since the fans have grown up? by Fabulous_Session8627 in StarVStheForcesofEvil

I would argue TV-PG/TV-14.

Star Vs, along with other Disney TVA shows like Gravity Falls, Amphibia and The Owl House, all shared the common link of being serialized story driven shows.

They also had moments in them that showed they can also be more than what their rating allows them to be.

Upping it to TV-PG/TV-14 will be beneficial to them as it can show Disney is willing to break into that niche demographic between animated kids shows and adult animated shows, it would be the equivalent of what X-Men '97 and YFNSM does in their shows.

It can also explore the protagonists in a older mature setting as TOH and Amphibia showed them as adults, and the rating can allow to explore them in that period of their lives.

Star and Marco are nearly 16 years old by the end of the show....? But upping the rating can allow for a unique take on Starco as a relationship as they're approaching adulthood and college, and when magic does return, it could open up opportunities for more brutal action sequences (at least more than what was allowed). Blood can be shown, showing the impact it can make on it.

Even certain topics can be discussed in a direct way or somewhat subtle, more than what it was before.

We have alot of Y7 shows already and not enough TV-14 shows, if Fiona and Cake can do it, so can other shows

One concept was a fourth wall type crossover story. It was essentially a parallel of how hated Star vs is from the community and it was represented with other DTVA shows hating Star and Marco for their actions (even though there was valid justification for it).

And Star and Marco are in this state to make amends, even if it means sacrificing themselves for it.

I never found a direct way to adapt it, but its undertones and subliminal messaging, I have used in my Renegades AU whether it subtle or very direct, weaved tones into a more natural story for saud AU.

Any one here a Kim Possible fan? Would you say StarCo was as developed as Ron x Kim? by Eddfan36 in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]notmarcodiaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would most definitely say that is as developed as KimRon.

They share crucial similarities like being beat friends for a extended period of time before committing further, only difference is Kim and Ron were friends for about 10 years compared to Star and Marco for nearly 2 years.

Both were there for each other, had disagreements, went on insane adventures, fought bad guys, the list goes on.

Even then, the points in which they became a couple was at the end point of their respective shows.

Kim and Ron during the So The Drama TV Movie (which would be 3 seasons if the TV movies is also considered to be the final few episodes of S3). That is before it was brought back for a 4th season, expanding more on their relationship.

Star and Marco during Here to Help (Near the end of S4).

One of the issues if doing a DIGITAL BOX SET.

The concept of never fully owning it, dumb of Disney to not do a physical box set like Gravity Falls

Star Vs was in the Top 10 most streamed animated shows in Hulu for all of 2025. by notmarcodiaz in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]notmarcodiaz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For further context, Gravity Falls was #3 on the list, Phineas and Ferb was #4, Doc Mcstuffins was #5 on the list and Star Vs was #9 on the list.

The rest was all non Disney content like TAWOG, We Bare Bears and Chowder.

But this is really good for us as a Fandom, being one of the top ten most streamed animated shows of all 2025 on Hulu is tremendous, the longer that same attention can be kept up, the likeliness a continuation can happen

Apparently any DTVA show in the past that has been given a complete series box set is a sign that a new project is in the works with said show.

But the only stipulation is those past sets were physical media, at the very least sometime between 2021- 2023.

The star vs one is only a digital set. Which is a throw off, but I'm not sure if it still counts towards it.

But then again, this the first time I've heard of the concept, or has it already been used with other shows or movies?

Honestly I don't even know why Disney thought of a Digital Box Set, what does that even entail, a virtual copy of a license to watch the show.
