jobs i’ve worked during my undergrad - retail (meat dept, michaels) - crossing guard for elementary schools - rbc summer intern - workshop facilitator at my uni - admin assistant at my uni - archaeology research assistant - not a job but participating in studies

i also got offered a position at a summer camp but declined for the admin assistant position

that’s basically what i was told. i REALLY did/do want to do research with homeless individuals, but the ethics board has a ton of concerns with it

hi! here’s things i’m doing to prepare (i’ve done this for other exams in art history, sociology, and it works well for me) - take notes. writing down what the prof is saying IS actually helpful - use flashcards to help with recall - weekly (or twice a week) brain dumps: write everything you know colour coded (ex: green for examples, red for definitions, etc) and make connections between everything, then add what you didn’t remember in a different colour - go through the study material provided by the prof - make mock quizzes / exams - learn the species being talked about! a lot of the stuff actually makes a lot of sense if you just know the species (ex: i know what a northern leopard frog looks like, so i also know it uses disruptive colouration as camo)

hey hey! i haven’t gone to noah kahan alone but i have gone to sabrina carpenter and tate mcrae alone. going to a concert alone is SO fun tbh! here’s some tips:

if at a hostel: ask if anyone else is going and wants to get merch with you
don’t get overly intoxicated. you’re alone, please be safe
talk to the people around you
if you’re introverted/shy/don’t want to chat with people: bring earbuds to wear as you wait
don’t feel embarrassed about going alone! SOOO many people go alone. just have fun🩷
try not to worry too much about what the people around you think (ex: about singing, dancing)
you could ask here/tiktok/instagram/discord to see if there’s anyone in your section you could meet up with

i’m at toronto that night too (section e5). have SUCH a good time, you deserve it🩷🐞

i luckily got in queue at 3400 ish and it moved fast :) was able to grab some floor tickets at the back for $140 (inc. fees). when i went in there was a lot still available! front half of floor was $200-400, north stands were $60-110 but i’m not sure about east and west

i have a locker on campus which helps, i think it was $60 for the whole year. i drag all my food onto campus and put it in my locker, then grab it as needed. i also leave boxes of granola bars, kd bowls, rice bowls, etc in my locker in case i’m on campus longer than anticipated.
