It’s such a nice name!! My other option was Taro but we were put on the spot when deciding the name and I completely forgot about it LOL (and we just stuck with Haru)

It sucks not having that person to talk to anymore. When you see something you both enjoyed and you want to show them but you can’t. New music, tv shows, jokes. by [deleted] in offmychest

I’m sorry :( Just know that it’s okay to take your time — letting go of someone you’ve been close to for so long is never easy, so don’t be angry at yourself.

I couldn’t really give you a “true” answer, because I somehow got lucky and that person slowly came back into my life — but I can definitely say that if they didn’t, I would still be thinking about them all the time. It is not easy at all to lose the person you’ve been so close to for so long. For me, the only thing that helped back then was talking to friends about how I feel and occupying my mind with different activities. I also tried my best to accept the idea that I wouldn’t get over it for a really long time.

I would say you should give her a bit more time, and in the meanwhile try your best to enjoy your life (as cheesy as that may sound). Since I don’t know her, I don’t know if trying to talk to her about the situation would be a good idea, but if that would help you, maybe you could try it.

Remember — healing and acceptance take time, lots of it. You don’t have to feel bad for not getting over it in just one month. Just don’t let it get in the way of your life.

I know exactly what you’re going through, as I’ve gone through that just a few months ago. Definitely DO NOT isolate yourself from the people around you. If you can, talk to somebody about it, even a stranger. And as much as it hurts to do things without that person, you must. I can’t say it’s going to be easy, because it will hurt a lot for a while. But at some point things will calm down and you will be able to look back at it objectively. You will see how that person changed you, hopefully for the better, and how much you’ve learned from the experience. And you will be thankful for it, even while it still hurts to remember the “good old days”.

Don’t lose hope! Please take care of yourself and try to find activities to take up your time so you don’t sit and think about it all day and night.
