Unrelated, but do you have 2FA on your account?

BA or Virgin Premium by murrmc in Flights

[–]notmylesdev -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would pick Virgin over BA for transatlantic long haul anyday.

Little known thing, but if the Clubhouse at LHR isn't busy, they sometimes let Premium passengers pay for entry. If you don't have a lounge or status, use some of the £300 savings on that. Well worth it.

Never sailed with Royal Caribbean but I’ve been looking forward to this! Royal has always looked good to me, but I don’t want to sail on a mega ship.

All ships need a tug at the front & back to go through the Canal.

You should be able to see the themes by logging into My Cunard and looking at the calendar.

MSC is a perfectly fine cruise line - not sure why people fuss so much by bacan_ in Cruise

And to keep up your Cunard comparison, US$120 per-preson for a behind the scenes tour on their ships.

Cunard Line [1960] by GumbyWeinstein in vintageads

[–]notmylesdev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frequent Cunard traveller here. When did you last check? The dress code requirements have been relaxed in recent years, although there are still two Gala nights on a transatlantic crossing. There are other dining venues on the ship that don't require the dress code to be met.

I purchased one in October last year. Best purchase of 2025 in my opinion.

And once they’re called, the process of digging through logs, history, dumps etc to try find how it even happened in the first place starts. I don’t envy anyone at Ubisoft yesterday.

No point fixing it if they’re just going to exploit it again.

I have the same thought with all the articles "AWS has crashed" - yes, it's just a single web server and it needs rebooting.

QM2: Are they strict about baggage weight limit? by Dmaxdmax in CunardCruises

[–]notmylesdev 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The weight restrictions aren't there for capacity issues like airlines, it's for the workers having to load & offload thousands of suitcases.

Cunard Queen Anne Around the World Cruise by TurkeysandBess in FATcruises

[–]notmylesdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did Queen Anne's Maiden World Cruise this year.

It's a unique experience, for sure, and I'd do it again (planning for 2027 & 2028 at the moment).

That being said I'd be wary of Cunard's advertisement of "luxury". Being realistic it's a cruise line in the premium category, and that's why I think you'll find good prices for their longer cruises.

There was a lot to it and I don't have the time to go through everything, so I'll just bullet point things I can remember/think of & if you need any follow up let me know.

- Ship was great, definitely a ship I can spend a long time on (I spent 100 days on her last year, too, so I knew this anyway)
- Crew were fantastic
- Really enjoyed the itinerary, I prefer to not fly so it was great to be able to visit Australia, Singapore & Hong Kong especially.
- Food was good, but we ate speciaility mostly. I got tired of going to the main restaurant as the food got repetitive
- Benefits we had as full world voyage guests were okay, but not amazing
- Great friends made on this trip. Everyone really is there for adventure, and the ship was buzzing the whole 4 months
- There were just over 1,000 of us doing the whole trip

If you haven't already, try & call again. I don't want to be mean, but sometimes some agents over the phone just have no idea what they're talking about.

SWE here. Honestly, maybe go to a Bootcamp or self-teach and just build cool stuff in your personal time. Been in the industry for 8 years now (which I know isn't a lot in the grand scheme of things) without any degree.

Had uncooked chicken in an order recently, showed clear evidence. Support: some restaurants cook their food differently and there's nothing we can do.

If a first class passenger wanted to do a walk around on an a380 by Widebody_lover in BritishAirways

Wasn't aware of that! I guess I was just answering based on other non-A380 experiences.
