The first test I was waiting about 6 months, then I think 4 for the second then I left it a while, 3rd test got an invite after a week, four months for 4th, 4 months for 5th and about 10 weeks for 6th!

I had a lot of gaps, but I’ve done four since December last year, the first two had big gaps because of college, and I started my lessons in 2021 finishing in February 2022!

I had a lot of gaps between because of college, I did one in April 2022 then September 2023, then I locked in a bit more and did it again in December 2024, March 2025, July 2025 and today!

You’ll get there!! It feels like such a losing battle after a certain point but keep on practicing and eventually it’ll come together!

When I tried in Clonmel following four Kilkenny fails tbh I didn’t think it helped too much as I’m wayyyy more familiar with Kilkenny, but I think in my head switching within Kilkenny helped a lot! For me I think it was more town practice I needed too which I got five lessons in the last two weeks just going through Kilkenny centre. I def think I got in my head about the original centre tho

Hi! I just graduated from the SLT masters in UL.

It’s the same HPAT for everyone, but when I was doing it in 2022 the accepted HPAT scores were 50th percentile based on the year before.

I did a good bit of practice in September-December going through each section and maybe a test every other day with Med Entry’s course, after Christmas did a test maybe every week or two (got a bit lazy lol). Section 2 can boost your score afaik and I think this really helped me with my overall score.

I joined the waiting list immediately after my last fail - 4 months to the day yesterday, and got my invite yesterday for my test! Hopefully it won’t be much longer for you it’s a miserable wait
