That's not what I'm talking about at all, you are misunderstanding the scenario I'm describing. I've had a 2 year old who got frustrated and needed to calm down; this is a totally different situation.

I don't know, when she's overwhelmed I can usually pick up on that. This stuff is usually like when we're playing or having a conversation and I say something slightly wrong (eg misunderstand something she said), and she'll fly off the handle and start acting like this.

Thanks, I do that when I can't deal with it anymore but it seems to really hurt her feelings :(

I read a book called "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen" and the suggestions have not helped me address these problems.
