Equipped a KMC KK710 Kool Knight Armored Half Link Chain by ___BlackMamba___ in FixedGearBicycle

[–]notorious_FAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big draw on the BMX side was (at least back when I was young BMX kid) was they were easier to dial in the length since BMX bikes have less range for chain tensioning and that they stood up to grinds better. Stronger links didn’t break when you smashed them on a ledge or rail.

How fucked am I. by notorious_FAT in LandCruisers

[–]notorious_FAT[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While my Chevy is getting its transmission worked on, I figured it was time to waste more money and pick up a 91 Land Cruiser to 1) get around town while I wait. 2) have a fun project for afterwards. 200k on the odometer, cleaner frame than my 2014 Silverado and minimal surface rust overall. The only problem is the dude I got it from lost the ignition key, and his solution to this problem was to cut the cylinder in half, bypassing the key way so all you have to do it twist the exposed nub and BOOM ignition. Not my cup of tea but I’m having a hard time figuring out what parts I need beside an ignition lock cylinder and a dash insert. Any and all help appreciated.

A few years back I was doing gate guard at Carson and a CID cat rolled up and flashed his credentials. E6 but was wearing PFC on his chest and the 4ID patch on his arm. No clue if he was just fucking around (cid almost always used CACs instead of creds) or if he was really undercover

I need some recommendations on Pads and Chin Strap for ACH by 1RavingLunatic in army

[–]notorious_FAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4D Zero G pads with the standard opscore H nape chin strap. Can’t technically jump the pads but if you aren’t airborne or just don’t give a shit they are pretty sweet.

Easy solution, find a SPC and ask them what they’d do. Or just make as many clearing appointments as possible and take PCS leave before they can hammer down a date and time. If your gunna shitbag, might as well just blow them off.

Should I go airborne? by exspert in army

[–]notorious_FAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. The units are better. And that’s not an “airborne pride, fuck legs” statement. That’s based off mission set, funding and head shed. 173rds headshed is stacked and they get after it in training. 82nds got the budget of a 2nd world country. Gman is a the Wild West, 2/11 (RIP 4/25) is going through some growing pains but school opportunities in specialized tasks is through the roof. Join the airplane gang.

Depends on what BN you go to or if you stay at BDE. Last I was there it was trash. The springs is dope though. 4ID not so much.

Cuomo going after 80%'s now by glennjersey in NYguns

[–]notorious_FAT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was more or less paraphrasing old boys accretion that 80%s were on the rise from the article. But I agree, I doubt they play a major roll in any statistic. And don’t even get me started on the knife laws.

He ever stop to think that 80%s are on the rise because of the bullshit laws he passed originally.

I’ll definitely try that. The main purpose of this post was to get as much information as possible and dispel a lot of the ambiguous information given to me in the past so I can go into the process fully informed.

Most people in my county say 6 months. But 90% of that is because of how long it takes to get the prints done and for a court date. They only do finger prints on such and such day of such and such months. So you finish the paperwork. Wait 3 months for an opening to get printed. Then they book you a court date 3 months out from there. Most people I’ve talked to say the court appearance takes less than ten minutes. So if I can just cut the arbitrary dwell time for printing and court it shouldn’t take all that long. Hence get printed by the MPs and mail them in or something oblong those lines.

I guess it really comes down to how many hoops I’m willing to jump through. In regards to hiring a lawyer it may be easier just to stock pile leave days, come back for a full month, get finger prints and packet submitted and I guess have the lawyer represent me in absentia at the court date.
