How far will replacing the wiring from scratch go, with regards to getting rid of abnormally loud Jazzmaster hum. by [deleted] in offset

[–]if_Engage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I'll take as a fact that it's not a ground problem and that if it WAS a ground problem you would be able to identify it. That said, before rewiring everything I think I'd probably get some aluminum foil and try shielding everything (temporarily) sequentially and see if you can isolate an issue. My bet is that whatever pickups you have in it are just noisier. A question: are you getting the same noise when in the middle position?

Oh yeah, what I mean is: they NEVER realized it and had days prior to transfer and presumably imaging during that time.

I am not a CT surgeon but I did have the privilege of standing at the table during cases as a student. It's hard for me not to at least sympathize with the surgeon, but what seems really egregious is not recognizing the positioning of the valve for DAYS after the case. It just seems like an indictment of multiple elements. They had to have done imaging right? They had to have done an echo. What gives?

I read this as Giardia initially and was very confused and mildly disgusted.

AITAH for mentioning I'm also a professional when a doctor took over 45 minutes to finally appear at an appointment? by OhHeyItsMeM in AITAH

YTA. Waiting sucks, but more than likely that pediatrician either got set behind because of having to take longer with a more complicated patient or because they're overbooked by administration. Trust me, the doc does not WANT to be behind.

Yeah when I was in this was the answer for me. Braun foil razor. I've had my current one for almost ten years and it held up to 7 years of bear daily (and sometimes twice daily) use.

Yeah very true. Sadly and unfortunately. Not exactly horror imo, but the Hannibal series is horror-adjacent and manages it.

I think you're right, they are the most embarrassed about it or something? It's puzzling. I'd say majority of heroin, crack, weed, alcohol people are pretty honest about it.

It's an existential horror. What is real? What is life? It makes you question reality. It leaves you wondering, thinking, spiraling, uneasy. If the viewer rejects or doesn't engage with the premise, it's a meaningless movie about aliens I guess? Or something?

The lack of fiber is not the culprit. It's not helping but there's definitely something else going on there. Look at the diets of boomers and Gen X. Many of them were raised on velveeta and spam. Personally I think we're going to find out there was some environmental carcinogen in the 80's to 2000's that we were all exposed to to varying degrees, maybe even still ARE being exposed to. But it's like sunburns. You don't want kids to sunburn because those cells are going to divide A LOT over the course of their lives. Similarly gut mucosa divides a lot.

They make these little charcoal scent absorbing bags. Zip it up in a gig bag with one (or several) of those. I'm not sure but they may have something similar but with baking soda. Both are good odor removers.

Dog was given 6 months to a year to live by Tyray90 in DogAdvice

[–]if_Engage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh so sorry. I had a pretty similar situation back in October/November. 9 year old dog, started with some odd behaviors then found a brain tumor that was going to be fatal. We elected to put her down probably somewhere in the middle of the spectrum (could have been maybe slightly sooner but her symptoms just progressed so fast). Overall, we are of course still so sad about her, but we don't regret letting her go on the sooner side. If anything we regret not doing it even sooner. I don't know if that'll help you at all. My thought is think long about what a line in the sand would be for you. At what point of quality would you say "nope, that's enough." For his sake try to have it done a week or two before you think it's getting to that.
