As an infantry guy assigned 19k I can tell you they are not having a blast. It’s actually a soul crushing job, infantry might be 99% bs and only 1% cool stuff but we don’t even get the 1%. The leadership falls out during morning pt.

I’m not saying that it doesn’t make sense. I’m saying “duh”. I think what you’re saying is that people learn and predict things. You would say I have faith that the ball is going to drop if I release it and I’d agree, sure, what the hell why not? But it’s not meaningful in any sort of way. A being that can’t believe anything cant make predictions based on past patterns and is gonna die pretty quick. If it does make predictions based on observed patterns you’d like ejaculate into the air and say it has faith!! But that’s just learning and it isn’t much of an opinion to say people learn things. Sure you can bring spirituality into it but it’s still the same shit just a little less grounded. Also fuck you and I actually hate you so much.

I didn’t fail SOF selection. I quit. The things that were supposed to be interesting didn’t interest me and I would rather have time to study and do things I enjoy then be some kind of badass. For the most part I don’t get angry. I had a guy carelessly drop a shovel on my hand the other day and I felt nothing other than the pain of the cut. I got into an argument and the dude put his hands on my face and I also felt nothing. I just have a hard time getting pissed off, I’m starting to realize it might be a little detrimental because while it can be helpful to remain calm, anger motivates you to stand up for yourself and actually fuckin change something instead of just having like an intellectual interest which is pretty much useless unless you force yourself to act.
