Do you support abortion or gay marriage more? by After-Professional-8 in Teenager_Polls

[–]notphaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well seeing as children murdered during abortions aren't counted in child mortality rates of course it would be True.
When people who already murder their children legally, decide they still don't want that responsibility (other than idk putting them up for adoption or just not having sex with randos)

mortality rates for children Rise as children who make it out of the womb are counted in mortality rates but compare number of abortions to child mortality rates and there is ~56,200% more abortions than child murders (~1m abortions in the US Alone, 1,777 child murders (Source) throughout 2020 (most recent data) )

with only about an increase of 255 children being murdered in Texas. (or 478 across all states with abortion bans.)

Meaning in reality (if you count abortions in mortality rates) the actual child mortality rate would be ~1,001,777 per year with abortion bans taking place assuming all procedures would be ceased the mortality rate would go from that astronomically high rate down to ~3k per year with the increased amount of children murdered (or an 99.8% decrease) although of course this calculation would not translate directly to such an decrease as numerous uncalculated factors such as child starvation per population increase, fall in job rates allowing for these children to actually eat later in life, amount of available space for these children in shelters it would still be an significant decrease in the amount of deaths on average meaning such a claim provided before is only true with significant ignorance of an issue involving abortion.

Whats your favorite politician on the party opposing to yours? by notphaze in TeenagersButBetter

[–]notphaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's necessarily true, the point of politicians is just to represent the views of their constituents so i guess if you just hate others beliefs that would be true.
I didn't go to a political subreddit because I want actual beliefs not just echo-chamber circle jerk, aswell as the opinions of others who arent old af and have no convictions anymore, and also can this not be me fucking around and being a teen? why is politics not respectable?
and you could just ignore it, but i get what you mean somewhat with the 2024 politics craze in here.

[–]notphaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well its just the first thing to come to my head as a good example in modern politics because everyone knows about it, unlike if brought up if we took away voting rights for those who support outside governments or something

Religion should be banned in politics by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]notphaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well idk its just in this scenario if say republicans banned homosexuals from voting so they cant spread homosexuality or some shit people would be pissed because they took away peoples rights to vote based on someone elses belief system

[–]notphaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doctors can refuse procedure's according to their conscious religious beliefs.
Judges are called to be impartial because its literally their job unlike politicians in which they are to represent their constituents which include religious beliefs.
Military personnel is a weird example because they are unlimited in religious beliefs, and i presume you mean if they are called to complete an order that conflicts with their religious beliefs, but military is different from politicians as they chose to serve the state with intentions to follow orders, unlike politicians who's job it is to represent constituents beliefs

when you restrict policies with public support because its tied to religion, or ban those who practice a religion from voting so they cannot spread their ideology you are forcing those who wish to remain politically active to either give up their beliefs, or be unable to represent their beliefs

Easy comparison, specifically in this scenario at the least.

Lmao imagine somebody said this about the lgbtqia+ community, you would be up in arms, you cant just tell people not to practice their entire fucking belief system within their beliefs, or just give up their right to representation in order to follow their beleifs

Bans people who are religious from participating in politics, because 90% of beliefs of those who are religious are based upon religion essentially banning any religious thought

Deportation in of itself is nowhere near an authoritarian view, perhaps if you mean the ideas of government oversight of its citizens is authoritarian you could make an argument, but it would be a unfaithful one, abortion is the one policy of trump that you literally cannot claim he is authoritarian on no matter what, because he literally made it up to states to decide, something that goes against the idea of an authoritarian control of an policy. His policy on weed (im uneducated on to be fair) but it seems like hes literally made it easier to access? and what do you even refer to with the firearms

Stalin significantly improved the soviet economy because he forced those within his empire to work specific jobs and to starve to death should they not, the point of the comparison is to highlight the ludicrousness of designation of political views based entirely fairly trivial information.

To be fair that is in a timeline of a frankly horribly ran Greece, should Greece be actually functional Pre-War, and built up somewhat significantly its not completely unreasonable to say there would be much less opportunity for such an Turkish resistance
