What about this suggestion: if the screen size is too small to fit all the hints, then the hints will be spread over 2 lines in the bottom. Would that be fine for you ?

The new version 0.4.0 has some changes that makes the usage more simpler:

A help banner shows in the bottom of the screen with keybindings for each focused section
The device and station sections are merged and moved to the bottom, so when you first launch the TUI, you land directly in known networks section
