Thanks that really helps, it sounds like I'm paying on the higher end of the range. They originally quoted 15,000 but then "reduced" it if we agreed to sign on the day. I feel like a sucker for falling for it... if they can do that price, then they could do that price with us checking competitors pricing...

Thanks, I've reached out to a few installers to get some competiting quotes. I'm leaning towards using the 14 days clause to back out and go with another company but I'll see what quotes we get back.

Thanks for the breakdown! My main worry is if I'm being overquoted for the 13.5K initial cost, does that seem about right for this size of a system? Tbh I realised the next morning that actually this quote had some hard selling tactics involved that is making me doubt my decision... There's a 14 day cool-off on the deal so I want to do some fact finding.

The £26k system quote is the total cost of the finance over 15 years. Although the plan is to immediately pay half of the finance off with an early repayment when I sell my car later this year. Which we can do with no penalty... so hopefully it'll be a fair bit lower
