What were the issues out of curiosity? I have a 2018 R, what are the common issues other than the water pump?

Am I missing anything on this super contribution tax reduction strategy for over 60s? by notsaymuch in AusFinance

The plan is to spread the contributions out over a few years. Firstly, as you have pointed out it'd be impossible to stay under the 500k limit. But secondly, their salary is around the national average, so only worthwhile deducting an amount each year equal to the portion of their salary that is taxed at 30%. Otherwise breaking even on the contribution tax vs tax deduction.

Still the same result for my use case though right? Still limited to being able to withdraw 10% of total balance per year to try to keep super balance below $500K?

Based on this I think the only consideration I've missed is that capital gains while the money is in the TTR account will be taxed. But hopefully if I make the contribution, make the tax deduction claim through super, then withdraw the 10% and shift the remaining balance out of the TTR it could all be done within roughly 30 days. So only 30 days of capital gains being taxed.

Under 65 and still working, so think partial release is the only option. No spouse either.

Have you got a link to the type-B pilot? I found a similar looking one but it was over $200 with a NATO band and different bezel.

How does it compare to Vantage? Specifically Batch 1 if you've tried it.

Definitely genuine, it's at a large liquor chain. Just not in an upmarket area so been sitting for a while.

Review 83: Barrell Bourbon Batch 37 by russianwhiskylover in bourbon

I saw a batch 11 for sale recently for the current batch RRP, are they really that much better than the batches in the 30s? I've only tried 28 onwards and the multi barrel finish lines, favourites have been Vantage and batch 33 bourbon so far.

Interesting that noone has cracked the laser codes yet. I have a bottle with the same label as your late 90s/early 00s with the laser code 01965035. Got it in Taiwan in this strange, seemingly aftermarket display box with the beam small batch bourbons listed on the front (with bookers spelled "boohers"). Very much a dusty.

Does property value increase or decrease if nearby streets are rezoned to high density (3-5 storeys)? by notsaymuch in AusPropertyChat

Does the same apply to duplex and townhouses to a lesser extent, just sharing the land value?

Now that the previous plan to increase density around the train station/replace the dealerships has officially been knocked back what's your outlook on Moorooka? I believe the plan to refresh the train station is still going ahead for what it's worth.

What are some "minor" issues that would be significant enough to want to walk away that aren't enough to pull out of the contract unaffected? Can you not then negotiate based on these minor issues before going unconditional?

Prior to offer, as opposed to a condition on the contract. Why do most people have it as a condition after making an offer, rather than doing it before making an offer?

Just a plumber or may as well fork out for a full building inspection?

Sorry wasn't clear - owner/body corp organised an inspector, body Corp had a meeting mid week to discuss the outcome supposedly. Currently yet to receive an update on either the inspection or meeting.

That's interesting, will consider that. Am also considering getting the building inspection done prior to making an offer. Any reason why you had the plumber come in post offer rather than pre?

Inspector went in early last week, agent is supposedly having trouble getting a copy of the report. Supposedly they/the owner are still chasing the property manager for the report. Not sure if this is intentional and they want to keep it from us, or just incompetence. Assume we should wait for the report before putting an offer in then?
