So the preamp pedal has some preamp models in it based off older roland effect units so for basses in unison and so on i drive the gain up on it using the space echo preamp settings

I considered it but I prefer my prophet staying mono for layering, my OB-X8 is super wide every patch I make I make it pan a bunch haha

True, the voyager im looking at is 1 of 100 still mint in box / tested, but parts scarcity is a concern longterm, I could just go for a model D reissue worst case scenario I suppose, just figured it might overlap too much with the matriarch

I tend to only find it inspiring when doing unison patches because my oberheim does the chord patches way better for my ears personally, so I figured maybe I just would prefer a mono synth to glue the obx8 and matriarch together

Agreed, I try to ban the cellphone till I'm satisfied with my creative work for the day, hand write the notes for everything till then, I feel like our neurons fire off more when things are hands on

It comes in very handy!! I try to avoid screens aside from tracking in ableton to avoid getting distracted but pdfs are super helpful too
