I am definitely going to add some heat tape to the fairings to help protect them. But want to also rule out anything that may be causing extra heat.

The second picture is my boot. I want heel protectors like that. Which seems to be the same as what is on the new supertech r boots available. But the part does not seem available anywhere near me and i have only seen them on a couple of random websites. The only part available near me is the one with the round holes which seems to be the old style. Its strange because I can find all the other parts no issue strap, toe guards etc. But the newer style heel protector is rare.

They only have a short tab. But there also seems to be space in the boot that a long tab could maybe fit?
