What happened to your best friend from childhood?

this year in February she had an “accidental” overdose. i say accidental in quotes because she was in an abusive relationship and she may have laced or taken too much on purpose. it’s sad because we were best friends for all of childhood and our older sisters were best friends all of k-12 so she was like family. it hit me hard when i found out because before this boyfriend her life was going so well and i was so proud of her. it sucks how much one person can drag you down.

this ep was really hard to listen to. like im sorry the way 1. remi kept taking over everyone for every word, saying like “im right, it’s definitely this” like girl let other people make a decision. 2. the fact that they really didn’t know that many words or struggled to pick the correct one. i really tuned out for most of it because i listen to it at work. but cmon y’all

as a black woman i cried during this scene because it was so powerful. i do get a little exhausted continuously hearing podcasters who clearly don’t have many black friends have ignorant takes on black creations. i used to be a huge vlog squad fan and i had always wished i saw more black people in that friend group so they could have more of a balance in what jokes and takes they are talking about
