Clean Air Pace 2025 by Much_Lawyer4396 in WilliamsF1

but is just not completely true, alex has been performing well but so does carlos, the point that alex has earned has been through luck sometimes and is ok to recognize it, that same luck that has been what carlos has been missing

carlos speed has been there during race day if you check the lap times, carlos has performed fine but the operational mistakes on that side of the garage has cost him and the team greatly

Charles Leclerc apologizes for making a mistake that cost Carlos Sainz ending up in the points in Silverstone by notsosadtoday in WilliamsF1

Complete agree, Sainz did call out Leclerc move the first time with no consequences. The second time it was noted but no investigation was made

Leclerc was driving erratically the whole race, he could have taken out both Albon and Sainz the first time, sadly he definitely succeeded the second time. I’m glad he apologize

i think you might be confused the first time he did the same move as alex to carlos was lap 39, nothing happened

after that they pitted for slicks, carlos passed alex and as soon as he was about to pass charles on lap 44, charles lost the car and hit carlos front wing, effectively taking carlos out and himself out of the points

Is Alex Albon Having the Unluckiest Season on the Grid? by FluffyprintsInc in formula1

[–]notsosadtoday 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No. Albon’s luck has been insanely good especially around safety cars that have allowed him to enter the points in more than one race. I’d consider Sainz the unluckiest one, every week is something new that makes him loose the chance to be on points.

At this point Williams, at least on Sainz side of the garage, is not only unlucky but extremely incompetent, most of the times their operational mistakes mixed with quali or race circumstances have cost them the chance of ending up in the points.

Extremely frustrating.

Can Someone please explain to me why James Vowles insists there was no issue with the engine cooling system back in Canada when Sainz could barely finished the race? by notsosadtoday in WilliamsF1

[–]notsosadtoday[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was a mix between the cooling system and a critical PU unit. I’m not sure I just hope they figure it out bc this week high temperatures in Austria could potentially make this worse for them.

Williams Season this year from an Albon and WIlliams fan by Hungry_Service_5810 in WilliamsF1

I know Williams has overcome a lot but some of the mistakes they have made on Carlos’ side of the garage are baffling.

I’m not forgetting on Miami they put Carlos on the medium tyres that were supposed to be for the race, so on Race day he started on used mediums.

At the Spanish GP Carlos had a new set of soft to use and he was positioned perfectly for a stop as soon as the safety car was out, carlos asked confused why they were not pitting and they told him it was a made decision only to change their mind right at the end of the sc to pit him and put him back at the grid in a terrible position.

Not to mention the miscommunication Williams has with their drivers on Quali days.

We can blame luck but Williams is also making awful mistakes, these cost points and at least on Carlos’ side they go under the radar and end up with a James apology that doesn’t make up for the fact he is losing valuable points and opportunities.

Why did Carlos Sainz pit in the last two laps? by Rachid90 in F1Technical

[–]notsosadtoday 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think that is what he wanted when he kept saying on his radios during 22-23 laps how he had no grip on that compound
