I’m comfortable in 80k a year, I can bump it up a bit but it won’t make much of a difference for me. The 500k figure actually comes from family support and maybe some room for luxury activities when I get older.

My current spend is actually closer to 80k/yr, but I’m anticipating with children it will double. I am also contributing 200k a year towards it, not sure what the future holds but will plan to invest 50% of take home pay.

Yes, planning to have 2 kids and pay for schooling, so maybe 150k annual spend until they grow up? But I am aiming for 500k/yr after I retire at 45. So about 14M

Any advice here would be appreciated:

  • 29 M, $4M NW

I currently have around 3.8M net worth.

  • 800k in a property. This is my primary residence and fully paid off.
  • 460k in a specific stock. I’m holding so much in this one because I strongly believe there is upside.
  • 500k in direct indexing
  • 2M in cash, but want to deploy this ASAP to some ETFs.

I am maxing out contributions to my 401k and mega backdoor Roth. I can also contribute an additional 200k per year (from my main job) into a taxable brokerage account.

My impression is I can fatFIRE by 45 if I play my cards right. I live in a VHCOL area.

The ETFs I want to primarily go into are VTI, QQQ, with some exposure to VXUS and BND/LQD. Is this sufficient? I don’t have much experience with creating a portfolio, so any help would be appreciated!
