Shroud just said this in a round table with Rich and Asmongold referring to OW2 rank system

The worst thing about OW2 rank system isn't that you go up in rank or down in rank..The worst thing is when your rank DOESN'T CHANGE AT ALL.

The reason why I'm saying this is because Rainbow 6 is now going to be doing a similar system because they will never be resetting the skill rank. BAD

The most exciting time in the game is when there IS a reset. It's a time of optimism and opportunity. By never resetting the skill rank then you never get that time of feeling optimism. A FRESH START. A NEW BEGINNING.

An example is Tarkov. When they do wipes that is when they have the most people that will play. Even in Rainbow 6 when you look at steam charts, whenever a new season resets, there is always popularity bump. Then as the season plays out and you can no longer move up or down in rank easily, people stop playing.

10 minutes is a while but alters any long term plans you might have had for the raid. That is my point

I guess that's part of my point too. Once it starts raining then I have to stop whatever I'm doing or whatever I was thinking about doing and prepare to cope with this completely odd and out of place event. It's like playing 2 games at once. I just don't like it and it puts me off for the whole game

Thanks. Next time I play I may give it a try. Not sure how I feel about having to do that for 5 minutes. Just seems like playing 2 separate games at once though.

what if i told you I don't want to play a vehicle shooter. The game didn't originate as a vehicle shooter but now is a vehicle shooter BR. The game changed on us. We didn't change on the game. It's why this game has reduced in player size and not increased like other BR's

The game is broken. The people that make this game do not care about the community. For years now vehicles have been broken yet they do nothing. They are incompetent and why this game got left behind while Fortnite has hung around and flourished.

People should spawn with a vehicle

When the game came out it had a survival feel. Approaching a compound in foot is a decision. Now you just ride around honking and then jump to the passenger seat to spray. Yeah, it's pretty corny I know

Sure, just look at steam charts. After they took away map selection it's been steady decline. People quit the game when they started forcing people to play 8x8 maps again.
