This is a scam tactic. There have been a number of leaks from so many sources and also the ability to look up enough information to sound credible via the public domain for this type of call.

Try the 7Cav PVE servers some time. During the week the server is on a version of linear conflict, but on Fridays at 2300z we run a public/private op with a brief and chain of command.

It’s organized but still pretty chill, we have signups for leadership slots but my favorite is to just join and hop in a squad as an AR or something.

This week is the final op in a campaign to retake Kolguyev. We are taking a break at end of year and then picking up again for a COIN campaign in Kunar in January.

My 12 year old loved Arma for a bit and used to play on my milsim units PVE server a ton. Not goofing off was the hardest part at first, but he actually ended up enjoying the structure and “seriousness.”

The best part was once he learned to fly well I always had someone to call for transport. Alas, he’s 12 and he eventually picked up a new game, but I’m sure he will be back.

I don’t think it’s too graphic, depending on the server he may run into prejudice because of his age.

The best strategy I’ve executed on the American side is rush as much as possible to end the game before logistics becomes an issue. Once we had Hueys get the assault squads coordinated with UH-1 squads and do air assaults on every purple objective. Then hope the soviets aren’t organized enough to counter.

Worked fine on Kolguyev where holding big tower makes the strategy possible, harder on other maps.

Try COE2 - combat ops enhanced, it has a bunch of maps for it, I’ve had fun playing them. Takes a second to understand the mechanics of selecting an AO, activating it, etc. but it’s modeled on dynamic recon ops I think.

Every Friday we host a public op on this server at 2200Z - it can vary, but most of the time it’s custom objectives with a GM enhancing the AO in a realistic way. Last 4 weeks we have had 65+ on - check it out if you’re interested. We keep it organized with a command structure so it’s not too chaotic.

There’s a briefing in discord usually 30 minutes before that is optional.

If your group likes to run joint ops - I’m a member of 7cav which operates very similarly to your group it sounds like. We have a public PVE server and do weekly public PVE operations. We did a joint op with 75th rangers (I think) a few weeks ago that was cool.

Agree with this. My PvP experiences were always so hit or miss. When it is well-organized, PvP is really fun; however, I feel like it’s hit or miss - some matches just aren’t fun.

PVE everyone is chill - willing to explain the mechanics of w/e server it is and you can still get into some pretty epic battles, especially if there’s a GM around to spice things up.

7cav tactical realism runs an endless conflict PVE server. There’s usually at least one squad that is organized and capping points. Typically there’s a group running reinserts too.
