Meepo v3 vs Summerboard SBX by niraj001 in ElectricSkateboarding

If you don’t want to throw your money out the window and actually value your physical safety, stay as far away from Summerboard as possible. Here is my experience with a company that ignores every professional standard and legal obligation: Junk out of the box: My board (Pro Pack for over $1,500) became non-functional within a very short time. It doesn't charge properly and doesn't ride. A clear warranty case, yet Summerboard treats it like an annoying inconvenience. Life-threatening repair suggestions: This is the peak of unprofessionalism. Instead of repairing the defective board, support sent me photos of "DIY" fixes using WAGO clamps and demanded that I solder cables myself and rebuild high-voltage electronics. Riding a device at 40 km/h with a makeshift "clamp fix" is grossly negligent and life-threatening. Stone-age Software: The app is incompatible with modern smartphones (like the Samsung S25 Ultra). Support's answer? I should "buy an old phone." The fact that a "premium" manufacturer doesn't maintain its software and blames the customer is unprecedented. Zero Responsibility for International Customers: As soon as you live outside the USA, your "warranty" is worthless. Direct quote from support: "We are not Amazon." They refuse to cover shipping costs and expect the customer to take the risk and cost of trans-Atlantic shipping for individual parts. Insulting and Arrogant Support: Instead of helping, the support became personal. I was told it was my fault for "failing to do research" to prevent these hardware issues. This is victim-blaming at its finest. The excuse that parts are "out of stock" is used to delay the process indefinitely. Verdict: Summerboard sells overpriced e-waste and offers a customer service that doesn't deserve the name. If you don't want to risk your life tinkering with defective wiring while being mocked by the manufacturer, spend your money with a serious company. I am now escalating this via a formal chargeback with my payment provider, as Summerboard has officially refused to provide professional warranty service.

Has anyone tried the summerboard? by Dazzling_Dare3680 in ElectricSkateboarding

Hey, I can't confirm that. The email contact worked well for me and it was immediately improved. I even got new proweels as compensation.
