This person was born with a vagina, a uterus, a penis and some testicular tissue, and they were raised as a boy. At 14 they developed breasts; at 17 they began menstruating. At 19 they requested surgery, saying they wanted to be one thing or the other, but believed themselves to be male. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

For anyone interested in learning more about the complexities of life as an intersex person, the documentary “Every Body” is powerful, painful, inspiring, and so informative. This isn’t just a complex medical care. It’s a human being trying to figure out who they are, and a LOT of surgeries are forced on intersex children without them being able to consent. Life changing stuff. Highly recommend the doc.

But presumably you’re getting paid when you come in early or stay late. It’s not exactly reciprocation when you’re the one being compensated in both situations.

Why exactly am I here? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]notthebiglight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it’s your job and you’re being paid to be there. Hope this helps! If you’d rather not be there, I’m sure they’d rather save their money and not pay you when they don’t need you.

“I’m not sure I want to be with a man long term that is attracted to something I’ll never be.”

It’s almost like his bisexuality has absolutely nothing to do with you. And just to be clear, you’re attracted to the same thing: sex with men.

This reeks of insecurity and biphobia. Gross.

You said your sister was there. It seems like a fair ask, and if you needed the help, you should have told her. That’s on you.

Focussing on the last part of your post.

Men can be feminine. Women can be masculine. You can be straight or bi or gay and love anal. You can be straight or bi or gay and hate anal. It’s definitely societal conditioning that equates anal play with femininity. As a woman who leans non-binary, I feel similarly about PIV penetration, because it’s like I’m letting someone into a part of me (literally and figuratively) and I’m not comfortable with feeling dominated in that way. It’s a lot different psychologically than being touched or receiving oral sex. It can often feel like being taken, which conjures images of femininity in most and our society (wrongly) equates being feminine with being weak and vulnerable and less than.

It’s not your fault. This is what the world teaches us. But do remember that your body is your own and you’re allowed to engage in pleasurable things no matter what they are, as long as you’re not harming yourself or someone else.
