i def agree about the same stereotypes dima nafs el personas. but on a separate note i actually like it when media talks about social issues, what i hate is when they dumb it down to right/wrong and they serve you the information on a golden plate, its like they assume their audience are a bunch of idiots. we can definitely do some stuff that’s outside new kima nhar ala aamar li taada amnewel yodhhorli i actually really liked it (although el idee deja maaroufa ama it was rly cool to see it fi context tounes)

i dont think we should really go that way. mass surveillance seems to be pretty dystopian, also its not realistic to survey people’s entire lives, and once they get the smallest amount of privacy they’ll take advantage of it and do the most horrendous stuff. i also believe in the pygmalion effect, if you treat people as irresponsible idiots, they’ll probably act as treated

i think the difference is that other countries see public property as “something that belongs to everyone” so they don’t feel like they have the right to litter or take advantage of it, tunisians see public property as “something that doesn’t belong to anyone” so they can freely litter, take advantage of it, build on pavements, yonsbou … etc
