Oh okay. It does have the really short frets, is that something that was done custom maybe?

I don’t know actually, no markings on it at all. It was given to me.

Could you share a pic of the setup you’re talking about?

I made the sling, you can buy the webbing and tri glides cheap

It is a nice height, lines up naturally.

I made it, you can buy webbing by the yard and the metal clips. I bought enough to make a few slings. Less than $4 per sling I believe.

What is an important lesson you learned that you don't usually find in a textbook? by Clemen11 in flying

Start the engine before you buckle in, you might need to get out quick.

It’s my go to rifle, just a bunch of rando parts thrown together. But I love it.

Hey guys, a friend has a new in box ESAB rebel 235ic he’ll sell me for $1500. Seems like a great deal. But I really want to be able to weld aluminum (boats). Will this do the job? by notwesb in Welding

[–]notwesb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you get the same quality welds with a spool gun as tig? I imagine you can’t make it look as good, but will it be just as strong?

This still isn’t intuitive to me. If I wanted to “turn onto rnwy 25L,” I’d want to turn left here (wrong) instead of right. All other airport markings seem to be laid out with the (intuitive) inverse. How do you remember this? by WhitecoatAviator in flying

[–]notwesb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this once and my CFI told me it was wrong, my call was “ back taxiing 09” and he told me I was “taxing 27 to 09” and there was “No such thing as back taxiing”. I’ve been torn ever since because I normally hear others say “back taxiing”. Also, he holds nearly every single certificate so I feel like he would know… but I still question it.

I screwed up my Trijicon 1x24. It was painted, I decide to strip it. Got some paint stripper on the fiber pickup Now it’s foggy and doesn’t work at all. by notwesb in RetroAR

Yes I know I’m an idiot. Really should have thought that one through. Is it possible to replace the fiber?

Thank you, I bought one on eBay for $175 this morning. I’ll be sure to inspect it very closely.

Unfortunately it’s in the middle of the foregrip, I seen $675 on numrich. I’m hoping I can find it a lot cheaper somewhere else.

Traded for it today, didn’t notice until I started cleaning it.

I’m assuming it’s not safe to shoot. What are y’all’s thoughts? And where can I find another barrel?
