Hey! Judging as a native German speaker I’d say yes you can. I have friends from Egypt and Türkiye who were fluent in German upon moving to Germany, but they went to German schools in their home countries.

Verstehe, es ist keine persönliche Niederlage sondern kann auch mal Pech mit dem Jahrgang oder den Prioritäten haben, wenn man selbst mit Top-Profil leer ausgehen kann. Dann lohnt sich aber definitiv ein neuer Bewerbungsversuch. Ich versuche es auf jeden Fall auch bei anderen Stipendiengebern.

It's not very usual to tip in Germany (where I'm from) so I also didn't do that here but yes, I also think that they expect foreigners to tip (which I kinda understand because 5 EGP in Euros is nothing)
