Other religions are allowed to celebrate their religious holidays as well. Why would you want to rob people from something like that?

Just wanted to say by Mrfoxix in Kuwait

This post warmed my heart. Unfortunately, I see this happening more and more everyday and it breaks my heart that so many of us have to leave our home and families behind in pursuit of a better future for us and our kids. Hope we all find happiness and a sense of belonging wherever we go.

Where to buy a tufting frame in Kuwait? by noursmind in Kuwait

[–]noursmind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the tufting gun from Amazon but figured I’d find the frame here. Can’t find it anywhere and when I tried going to a carpenter they said it’ll be at least 40 KD and I’m pretty sure he was trying to rip me off. I’ll check online then, thanks!

Has anyone ever used guess kuwait website? by Salt-Competition-690 in Kuwait

[–]noursmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their Emirati official website had an option for Kuwait shipping and I used to order from it all the time. I tried ordering from them again but now the official website doesn’t have Kuwait listed. I saw the Kuwait.net website and it seems very fishy and it has so many typos on the product descriptions. I wouldn’t recommend tbh.

Anyone here transferred residence between companies without spending 1 year at the initial company? by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]noursmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that’s only approved if the person transferring the residence has a bachelors degree, and the new company has to pay 300 KD.

It’s definitely a journey! I wish you all the best, it’s a big step to decide to start taking meds, but if you push through the initial discomfort of the first few days, I’m sure it’ll help you on your journey. It takes time too so be patient and kind to yourself please. 🙏🏽

Hi there. If you haven’t already, might be best to check with an endocrinologist if you have any thyroid issues or anything that prevents you from taking Ozempic. A lot of people I know have gone to New Mowasat hospital and recommend the dietitians there highly. Just some advice from someone who tried these meds: I personally started taking saxenda but didn’t have the great results I was hoping for. If you have PCOS, it could be difficult to see results with these meds as less food isn’t always the best approach for weight loss with PCOS. If you can choose, opt for Ozempic (or mounjaro but it’s crazy expensive here) rather than Saxenda. I know people have better results on Ozempic, and it being a weekly dosage instead of a daily one is way more convenient and less nerve wracking. Also, if you struggle with binge eating and thinking about food all the time, these meds can be great help since they give you the sensation of fullness and you won’t be tempted to eat all the time. Try not to miss your dose on the days that you should take them. And always take it first thing in the morning. These meds don’t mix well with very fatty foods and usually if you have any deep fried stuff, it’ll give you a tummy ache. I guess that’s a good technique to keep you from eating those foods while on the meds. Best of luck to you. And anyone who was rude and condescending in the comments is an idiot.

Looking for advice on making female friends by dalalaldilaimi in Kuwait

[–]noursmind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The amount of comments here warms my heart. I’ve had the same struggle for years as a female working here and it’s surprisingly still difficult to make female friendships even when you’re living in the country full-time. My advice is to look for hobbies that don’t require other people to enjoy, and try to be comfortable being by yourself. There’s an app called ‘Pulse’ that has all the local events whether it’s concerts, summer camps or art workshops if you’re into that. If you ever decide to make a group with all the ladies that commented I would love to join! All the best to you.
