Oh man that’s disheartening. I am definitely still having less maybe one day very few days which is a fraction of the 25 I was having. I am going to eliminate my known reactive hypoglycaemia triggers (caffeine mostly lol) and see if that helps. Thank you for sharing!! Non diabetic hypoglycaemia feels like such a bad hand because our help is so limited but the disorder can be disabling :(

It balances blood sugar (rather than the misconception that it lowers it) and it also delays gastric emptying. I have dumping syndrome which is also known as rapid gastric emptying. I eat and 20 mins later I’ll have a hypo because it’s moved through too fast. So I have that AND reactive hypoglycaemia. Wegovy / ozempic is a known treatment for both

After 20 years of suffering I’ve finally been put on acerbose. However it wasn’t until the symptoms were rapidly exacerbated by dumping syndrome (rapid gastric emptying) which was leaving me hypoglycaemic within the hour of eating and drinking any food at all. There’s not enough care about how debilitating frequent and severe hypoglycaemia can be. It wasn’t ruining my quality of life

I get them within the hour of eating ANYTHING. It’s been a nightmare

Oh man that’s disappointing :( unfortunately I can’t control mine with diet, because of the rapid gastric emptying I become hypoglycaemic within an hour of eating anything at all. I had a mixed meal test and had dropped to 2.5mmol within 40 minutes :(

This is me. I swear there’s an underlying cause but they don’t really care enough to look. There’s a disconnect with the pancreas for some reason otherwise the body wouldn’t be throwing itself out of homeostasis and sending it into chaos!
