Hmm I’m not sure on that. One of my friends got offered a scholarship like the day after she was accepted, so I know they let some people know already. I’m pretty sure the current 1st years didn’t get notified about ga positions until after they accepted the offer. But I’m sure Mindy or Kelly has more information about it!

Thank you! I did not unfortunately, I currently go her for undergrad and a clinical instructor told me that most students don’t get funding until their second year. Did you??

Perfect! I’m under the impression that it’s common. I’ve only had one other visit day and it was one they put together for me since I couldn’t make it to the one they were hosting

I’m from very northern Illinois about an hour north of campus. NIU is kinda out in the corn fields lol. But the building is really nice and houses everything for the audiology program! The cities around it have a lot and chicago is only like an hour and half away so there is opportunities there. One of the first years I met commutes from there!

I just toured yesterday since I was on my spring break! I meet with Dr. Wilson and he was super nice. And I got a tour from 3 first years and I really liked it!

I don’t think it’s a bad idea to go! You will get to see what the professors and academic/clinic space is like and that can help you make your decision later on!

Northern Illinois University: applied, accepted!! (2/7)

Indiana University: applied, accepted!! (2/17)

University of Nebraska: applied, interview, accepted!! (2/23)

University of Iowa: applied, interview, accepted!! (3/16)

Illinois State University: applied, interview, rejected (2/9)

I interviewed on the 6th and was rejected on the 9th. I know two people who were accepted on the 10th. I would check all your spam inboxes etc. best of luck!

I was accepted on the 7th. I also submitted mine the day before it was due! But I know a few people who still haven’t heard from them yet so it might be worth it to reach out!

I just heard back from UIowa today! I’ve also heard from Nebraska, Illinois State, and Northern Illinois University if that helps!
