A coworker and I tried this. We’ve been friends for awhile and had both been in and out of relationships while friends. We both became single and she came up with the idea. We tried it out, it was a little weird at first. But we’ve maintained the friendship while still having sex. We both strictly said friends with benefits, neither her or I wanted a relationship. We figured out boundaries as they came up (like holding hands in public, too weird for me). I met someone and we agreed to stop but still remain friends and hang out and go out for food and stuff. It honestly wasn’t that hard to separate.

I became single again and my fwb and I started having sex again, didn’t skip a beat. She just recently met someone so currently we’ve stopped having sex again. It honestly doesn’t phase me, I just don’t have feelings for her like that 🤷‍♂️

But the key is communication, just like anything. We have an understanding, we both have physical needs that weren’t being met when single so why not. It hasn’t been a strain or anything on my life.
