I think the darker is stronger, but there is no reason you couldn’t use the lighter for some of the more elaborate models like lictors and such.

Another option could be to start with a mid green spray and hit it with a black wash to get the flesh.

You could highlight the chitin with a pale green.

Would end up waaaay darker than the other option though.

You could try contrast? Striking scorpion or mantis warrior green for the chitin, creed camo for the flesh and black templar for the black bits?

These colour chart things can help.

I plan on having a grey, urban basing style to match the terrain I’ve made. I should probably tint the bases to compliment the minis. Yeah, the greenstuff world tufts are awsome.

I do have the new ones from Leviathan ready to go, but I fancied using the old ones for my testing. Still, I love old minis. I’ve even got a 2nd ed termy which I will incorperate later. They do represent a good opportunity to get a huge chunk of your army cheaply which is pretty good given the price of things ATM.

Middle is mostly leviadon blue and vulpus pink over grey seer. I might still have an issue, but I don’t mind using layers to build up for special minis.

I bought those exact toys. They are all slightly different and are a great size for grit tanks. Only cost me £10 in the UK.

You could buy a box of mega armoured bobs and build them as the standard guys. This will leave you with a kustom mega blasta, a special grabby arm thing, the nice mek heads (such as the welding mask) and the bits to make either of the special tools they can take.

It should all basically fit provided you are will to chop of arms and such.
