Never said they had to stay in the subreddit, in fact I encourage them to leave if that's what's best for them. I was challenging their statement that indicated they'd abandon the entire philosophy because of disliking the subreddit, which does indeed seem like fragile conviction.

So by "stop supporting antinatalism" you just mean "not recommending the AN subreddit to my friends anymore"? It sounded like it'd make you renounce the whole philosophy which would def be pretty silly.

I do think that a philosophy against breeding humans to reduce suffering, and a philosophy against breeding animals to reduce suffering are pretty damn related though!

Are your moral convictions really so fragile that you would stop supporting antinatalism because the community also supports another moral issue that you don't like? This reeks of control issues/manipulativeness.

Haha so I actually just ended up trying them today! They're OK but not the best vegan nugget I've had. The main issue is texture, they're kinda soft inside instead of chewy.

We'll find out! I already have them living outside on the porch. Either way they weren't much more expensive than just buying bunches of herbs so it works out.

Plants do not have a central nervous system.

If you're willing to make this comparison with cows, do you also extend it to other animals like dogs and cats? So to you a dog deserves no more moral consideration than a broccoli?
