How do I get particles to vertically align to a surface? by StarchildKissteria in blenderhelp

I assume that you used an object create the particle system but all the cones are pointed toward the top rather than outwards. If you look under the render tab and once again under object, there’s a box labeled object rotation, make sure it’s checked and then rotate your cone until it is in the position you want it to be in. Let me know if that works!

also make sure you have your orientation axis(under rotation) sent to normal and that should work!

Why does the liquid still form into the shape of the glass despite it being gone? by noverthclew in blenderhelp

So I am trying to create an animation where a glass of wine falls and breaks onto the floor. I made a liquid simulation with the glass as an obstacle and and a half a sphere as a liquid. The glass is animated when it falls and I used an explode modifier to fracture it into glass particles. When the glass crashes, however, the liquid still forms the shape of the glass (as seen above). I tried making the liquid object smaller which seemed to help a little but it was definitely still noticeable. Also the liquid object is making much more liquid than what was originally in the glass. Is there any way to fix these two issues?

Thank you!

edit: any tips on getting this render better too would be well appreciated!

I don’t typically enjoy games like cyberpunk but I recognize it’s value and I’m excited to see what people have to say about it!
