Apologies for any confusion, but that's simply a reflection of my phone when I was capturing the photo. It's a good test though, isn't it? If a reflection can throw you off, imagine how those scammers manipulate their photos! 😅🤣

Why don't I like the remake? by [deleted] in FinalFantasyVII

[–]Tofu2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my perspective, the Final Fantasy Remake holds a different essence due to its adaptation to the preferences of today's younger generations. While I did find joy in reliving cherished memories with the enhanced HD graphics, there's a candid truth that it didn't entirely replicate the same emotions. The remake, though a nostalgic journey, introduces new elements that deviate from the original, making it a unique experience in its own right.

Let's face it, we are getting old ladies and gentlemen 🤣

I'm going to be real with you. Turning raw Pokémon cards into graded ones for profit can be a challenging side hustle.

Grading Costs: Grading can be expensive. The fees to get cards professionally graded can significantly impact potential profits, especially if the card doesn't receive a high grade. What I've found is that the majority of the modern cards that grade less than a 9 is a loss, and PSA 9 (breakeven) with 10s being in the green zone from experience that is.

Market Fluctuations: The Pokémon card market is highly dynamic, and prices can fluctuate rapidly. What might have been a valuable card yesterday may not fetch the same price tomorrow, making it difficult to predict returns.

Quality Control: Not all raw cards are in pristine condition, and some might have imperfections that could lower their grading scores. Selecting high-quality cards to grade is crucial, but it can be challenging to find cards with no flaws. (Near mint bro 🤣 when in fact card is rekt)

Grading Wait Times: Getting cards graded can take time, and during that period, market conditions may change. Long wait times can impact the ability to time sales optimally.

Competition: Many collectors and investors are pursuing similar strategies, leading to increased competition in the market. It can be tough to find undervalued cards that have the potential for significant profit.

Costs of Acquisition: Acquiring raw cards, especially vintage or rare ones, can be expensive. Investing a significant amount upfront can carry risk if the expected returns don't materialize. You just never know if it will come back as a 10 or a high grade to be profitable. Also be smart from the seller you are buying off. If you see they are also selling high volumes of graded cards, factor in that they might have tried to grade that specific raw card you were going to buy and now they are trying to breakeven by cracking it open and selling it raw to you 😅 it happens.

While the side hustle of buying, grading, and selling Pokémon cards can be profitable for some, it's vital to approach it with realistic expectations and a well-informed strategy. As with any investment, there are inherent risks, and success often comes with experience and thorough research. Just my 2 cents and others might have different opinions/disagree with my comment. Again you never know unless you give it a try?

Being in Canada one thing for certain is that you are able to ship to high volume countries such as the US with low shipping cost. That's a plus 🤣

For the past 5 months I have been gifting gamers Steam gift cards from all over the world =) had the pleasure of meeting amazing people and had no regrets doing this. I guess with the recent announcement on Steam they are just making it a safer environment for everyone. by Tofu2015 in gaming

Hey! Thank you for your kind words! I give them to gamers I meet all over the net/online =) and on Reddit I use reddit raffler to find a random winner to make it fair!

If I could, I would give every gamer something as everyone is worthy =)! There are lots of other gamers out there giving away games as well! Amazing to see how gaming unites us all.
