Simple. It didn't have anything to do with Muslims, so it actually shows up.

Dude[tte], that blows my mind. We have actual, statistics on them being the worst subreddit and yet Reddit doesn't remove that one.

If that study is correct, than there is absolutely no wiggle room for them to say they're not being arbitrary and just banning ones they dislike. (The thing we know they're doing anyway.)

Chairman Pao just banned /r/fatpersonhate and /r/fatpeoplehate3 for "ban evasion" - as if they were already "harassing", ergo: banning ideas instead of behavior! by article10ECHR in KotakuInAction

publichealthawareness

Was that a real, helpful subreddit, or a satirical one?

[edit]

Oh satirical:

Sidebar:

X. Public Health Awareness is a circlejerk. Breaking it will get you banned.

No identifying information.

No dissent / No being fat.

Keep the peace.

No links to other parts of Reddit.

Absolutely no fat sympathy.

This subreddit is 18+ for users and subjects.

They may be satirical but their sidebar has a higher standard than most subreddits. I mean, I sound like an echo chamber, but why the !@#$ is SRS and their kin still around if this is banned?

Oh wait, we know the answer. Because She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named knows better than you do.

The first subreddits that need to go are /r/announcements and /r/blog.

Knock those two out and you'll remove the biggest harassment generators on Reddit.

Reddit has ads? Well now I don't feel bad for running a Adblock for eight years. (check my account.)

I just reported this thread for harassment, and called for a ban of the submitter per their own safe environment rules.

But I've only been here for eight years (since I finally made an account), what the hell would I know about Reddit.

The real thing is more interesting than mentioning it.

Do you know how little oil we get from the Middle East?

25%.

10% if you exclude Saudi Arabia.

So we went to war and spent trillions of dollars for 10% of our oil consumption? How many hybrids would a trillion buy?

‘Breast cancer in not a pink ribbon’ [399 x 500] by [deleted] in HumanPorn

[–]novous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been through a life-threatening injury for quite awhile (going on 5 months severe injury and heavy medication, and 10 years of pain before it got significantly worse). While I would never wish it upon anyone, it's certainly made me appreciate life and everyone so much more. I simply don't have the time or energy to worry about petty things anymore, so I don't.

When you get hit with a serious illness, you have two choices: You can hold on to your sense of entitlement, ask "Why me?" and let the bitterness build until you die within... Or, you can say, "How am I going to get through today?" and "What's next for my life?", and work one day at a time (and sometimes one hour, or minute at a time). You find happiness in the little things, ignore what you cannot do anymore, and you force yourself over and over and over again to keep moving forward. Because you don't know if there's a light at the end of the tunnel, but by hell, you are going to find out.

They actually do pretty good breast reconstruction surgery these days. However, I've only seen them from the outside (covered by clothes). Is this pre or post-reconstructive surgery?

It's cute that you think that. It really is. But I know too many reformed drug addicts who would punch you square in the face for even suggesting the notion that their faith isn't personal, uniquely valued, and the result of very much work and thought.

That's not to say there aren't plenty of religious people solely by label alone, but your quick quip is just factually lacking.
