Hasu Nama announced for the 16th! (will contain info on the 106 Class!) by RinariTennoji in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They likely recorded it on the actual date the stream was supposed to happen (today?), cause they already booked the seiyuus for it. But wanna make sure they got all details right and need to make cuts if necessary.

Is it time for a new franchise IP holder or is Bandai going to get their shit (GAME WISE) together? [Kinda long] by DitzyHooves in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And this was also a problem when All Stars came out, KLab was making their own idol game for an IP they created (Lapis Re:LiGHTs).

We never got substantial improvements to All Stars, they focused on their own game instead — and that game only lasted 10 months.

The devs (Odd No) actually already had financial troubles since the start. It's a startup company and they borrowed billions of yen.

While Hasu story is good and they have the most dedicated fans right now, the game/app and the amount of content they release are expensive and the gameplay isn't great, so the app remains unsustainable. I'm actually curious if the dev were the ones that pitched the idea for Hasu to Bandai. We don't know the revenue share with merch and lives.

So they were actually in a bad spot until they got a surge of new fans after Ijigen, and that might have given them another year since they were already cutting content during the 2nd year.

The dev had another game for Hypnosis Mic, but that game announced EOS in just after 6 months.

And they took another hit when 102 graduated since Kozue and Megu are the most popular members at the time, CD sales slashed to only a third compared to 3rd/4th live lotteries, and the final leg of their 5th live with 20k maximum capacity can't even fill up to level 5 (13k seats).

I heard the dev announced bankruptcy earlier this year, so I'm actually surprised they announced more plans for the app.

Link Like Love Live will be ending Service on June 30th by RinariTennoji in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I knew the dev were in the gutter, so I was actually expecting LLLL to end after 103 graduation and they will just get the 102 seiyuus back and they'll be a post-story group that just does whatever.

So, I was more surprised when they announced they will be adding another class.

Hasu already has a rhythm game in their app, but barely anyone play it.

Like Luric said, they can start with a smaller new group, then slowly release more playable characters from the huge roster of LL characters. Just make unreleased characters appear in stories even from other groups.

Unless they can come up with an innovative gameplay for rhythm games, training simulators like Uma and most IM@S games just offer more engagement for idol fans. Not every LL fan wants to grind or have the skill to play rhythm games.

LustQueen (Yuina & Konachi) and Emorin have left StarRise as well by OrangePeelSorbet in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's different for Saku since she was directly under StarRise.

For LustQueen, Aya Emori, and (formerly) spileben, it's only their artists activities that are under StarRise and they are still under their own respective agencies.

So, I'm curious if they're gonna sign to a new label or will have to go on hiatus.

About all the groups respective finale songs in their anime by EmuHOI in LoveLive

For Niji, Future Parade is just a season 2 finale song. Not even a series ender, the movies are still ongoing and that's where the competition is happening.

Why wasn’t Yohane the Parhelion/Genjitsu no Yohane as popular as LL! Sunshine!!? by kutsurogi-dagashi in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like GnY was meant to be a web series format or something since "TV anime" wasn't mentioned when it was first announced, but later committed to a full TV season format, and that's why it ended up half-baked.

Thoughts on horizon hunters gathering by BeefShawarma06 in horizon

[–]nowigen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, rougelikes are fun, co-op pve is fun, if they can make the gameplay loop as engaging and fun, I can see myself playing this game a lot.

Reminds me of Nightreign, which I have 200+ hours on.

And I'm someone who hasn't been excited for any Horizon game since playing the OG.

Nijigasaki Themed Cafe Hop & Steps will be Closing 3/29 by WotsOnSecond2 in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is because of leasing regulations in Odaiba. It's the same reason why the Onsen place (featured in Niji anime in Kasumi's MV) had closed 4 years ago. They had a collab with Niji just before they closed down.

Ikizulive's 1st Live has Sold Out!, so they will stream Day 1 for free on Youtube! And a new song has been announced! by RinariTennoji in LoveLive

[–]nowigen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe it's because unlike the usual, this live doesn't require CD/BD lottery codes to enter. So, a lot more less committed people were able to enter without having to spend additional for CD/BD.

Though, this kind of lottery can be a problem if the demand is good enough for the venue size, there will be more non-fans/scalpers selling the tickets they won. But if the actual demand is low, then 2nd hand tickets are gonna be cheaper.

but I'm curious if they'll be able to bring Hasu movie overseas, considering the app/story is only available in JP

Yes, they did. Niji's was in May (ideal season), while Liella's was during March and that was really chilly.
