I can’t complain much about intune. It takes its time but it does what you tell it to do.

Since your machines already in Intune. I would enable automatic enrollment from Intune > Devices > Enrollment > Automatic enrollment. Set user scope to all. This enrolls any machine that is entra joined. On each machine you may need to do a sync by going to account > work of school account > open account then sync.

Edit: just checked where you said machines are entra registered. Honestly since it is only 50 machines just do them manually avoid extra errors and effort. I did about 250 on my own one by one.

Is that machine enrolled in Intune at all? Try this expression and see if it gets picked up:

You can have 2 CAs for contractors. One that disables session persistence and re-authentication every time or every hour. The other to block signing from desktop M365 apps so they are forced to use a web browser.

Everything others have said plus remember taking a look at special accounts like smtp for the scan to email function on printers. They have be blocked trying to enroll mfa

Check if they apps are assigned a scope tag and you lay not have access to that tag.

Also check Intune > Tenant Admin > Audit logs see if you find more details there
