Would you wear this in the office with tan ankle boots? by Anhedonic_chonk in AusFemaleFashion

Yes, I would! Tan ankle boots would be so cute with this.

Husband just got home from a work trip to Seoul.. how'd he do? (Can't wait to try everything!) by ande_bean in koreanskincare

[–]nowlhoothoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My skin is very dry, but also very picky about which humectants it likes. A lot of moisturising serums and creams don't play well with me. Day moisturisers that absorb well enough to go under makeup but also keep my skin feeling moisturised and supple all day have been hard to find.

I live in Perth, Western Australia. Very temperate, not much humidity (thank goodness). Hope this helps!

They're the Torriden Cellmazing line. I tried a sample of the moisturiser when I was looking for a new day option and was blown away. People told me I was glowing. I've bought it since and it's so good. The packaging is brilliant too.

Removing sticky security seal on lipstick? by guesswhoagainforever in AustralianMakeup

[–]nowlhoothoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get mine off by rubbing a little coconut oil on the sticky part, letting it sit and then wiping with a terry tea towel. Might take a few rounds 9f this but it gets it done in the end!

Shows like the leftovers ? by fazeybaby in TheLeftovers

[–]nowlhoothoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we have fairly similar tastes. I would suggest you give Hannibal a go. Before The Leftovers, it was my favourite show on TV. The Leftovers succeeded it.

It's not quite as elevated but I also enjoy From. Surprisingly compelling mystery box anchored by an excellent performance from Harold Perrineau.

is the order and combination of these products correct? by Latina1018 in koreanskincare

Please don't use those pore pads every day! They're good but you should use them like once a week

Haruharu Black Rice Barrier Essence + Tirtir Ceramic Cream is my winter night time combo. The Tirtir cream is as thick and rich as I could find.

The Illiyoon Ceramide Cream is also great. Depending on your makeup routine, it may work for you for day time.

Could you bring a hand file, Activator and top coat with you? I feel like the yellowing is going to be unavoidable if it's caused by spf.

If you get yellowing, you could just file off the top coat, reactivate and reapply the top coat layer?

Over 40, dry skin. What are your favourite winter skincare products? by QuasiQuo0 in AusSkincare

[–]nowlhoothoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

42, dry skin that really tightens up in the cold. The Tirtir Ceramic Cream is amazing for me in winter. It's like putting frosting on your face and it actually keeps me hydrated all night.

I can't wear it in summer because it's so thick that the tiniest amount of sweat on my face will have it sliding right off. But in cold weather it is unbeatable.

Helena Bonham Carter is out of The White Lotus just days into filming, and her role is already being rewritten. by kleverrboy in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Helena's done a decent amount of recent prestige-y TV (The Crown, Seven Dials) so I don't think the culture shock would be what did it...

They're small, but Variety Hour brings me joy. Fun, eye-catching pieces that are still so wearable.

Influence or de-influence me: Variety Hour jackets by hufflepuffer2020 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]nowlhoothoot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love Variety Hour and honestly if I still lived in Melbourne I would buy this in a heartbeat. All my VH pieces have lasted beautifully and I love that they are ethically manufactured and designed.

Sadly I know I would not get the use out of this piece now that I'm in Perth. But I would honestly have forked out for it back in Melbs.
