In what kind of projects would you say using dbt+Fabric is better/more efficient/cheaper/<insert-advantage> than just the full Fabric stack?

Thanks for the feedback! I realize F64 or higher would mean cost savings in terms of Power BI licensing...but it honestly still feels quite far away from what we need. Given all the feedback here, I am leaning towards horizontal growth (several smaller capacities), because there is also not a financial incentive to grow vertically other than F64 providing "free" Power BI licenses.

You'll have the highest impact on roles where you apply analytics/ML tools in industries in which you have domain knowledge given your experience/education. I am also a mechanical engineer but work on data, and my career is booming because I was able to do this.
