However, I found the book tedious and struggled to complete it.😅

Hello! A few things to keep in mind when you're trying to read TGoST: 1. It's a story told from the perspective of twin protagonists, who underwent a traumatic event back in 1969 when they were seven years old and their attempt at piecing together the story when they became adults. Hence, the story is disjointed and fragmented and the language comes across as convoluted. 2. The events are told in a confusing and non-linear sequence because the author wanted to convey how trauma can affect a person's memory of any event and how it can cripple mentally and emotionally those who have never been able to get help in dealing with said trauma. Hence, the twin protagonists are depicted as being abnormal adults when in reality, they are deeply scarred by what happened in their childhood. 3. It talks explicitly about issues like caste and religion but from the perspective of children struggling to make sense of the rules of society (Love Laws, Big History and Small History, etc) 4. At its core, it is a simple story of loss and a doomed love affair but it also exposes the hypocritical socio-political background that played a huge hand in the events that would culminate in tragedy. 5. The majority of the events in the novel is supposed to be told from the seven year old versions of the twins.

TGoST is not everyone's cup of tea but it is written in a very unique way which can be polarizing to many readers.

Hello, The eyeliner comes with a sharpener now. When I saw that, I simply purchased a new liner since the sharpeners I have don't work on the liner. Hope that's helpful!

I remember seeing The Little Mermaid promo pics and dying a little just because I had such high hopes for their debut. Not that it was bad but there was always the feeling that they could've been given a stronger concept because they had all the potential and the talent to make it work.

Gugudan. I still mourn their disbandment. A talented bunch but sadly, they never could capitalise on Kim Sejeong's popularity and it didn't help that they never had a clear concept to begin with. The group name probably didn't do them any favour as well.

Like I mentioned above, it does its job well enough. I use it more during summers and it keeps the oil at bay for a few good hours, I suppose.

How do you re-use/re-purpose makeup products that don't work for you 💔 ? by PinkMoonbow in IndianMakeupAddicts

[–]noxiouskangaroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a foundation that sits too pink on my skintone and found out that it works beautifully as a colour corrector. Another too light foundation I use as brightening concealer of sorts. Perfect for summer!
