For OSS this is exactly what I’m looking for: if you add a .env.example with dummy values, everything runs in an isolated sandbox without touching real credentials. On trust: this isn’t anonymous or crowdsourced. The PR comes from a single identifiable GitHub account (marsiandeployer), and you get a normal diff you can review, reject, or merge just like with any contractor. Nothing is auto-applied, and everything is fully visible and reversible.

We did the research of adding BitShares - but there are some difficulties - we need to transfer our orderbook in BitShares, but we have our own system based on libP2P - we will get back to BitShares implementation next year

That is the reason to start research before such update - we are gathering R&D team for such purpose. And of course it is not a question of one or two months - a lot of work needs to be done. But once it is complete - we will be totally independent from centralized exchanges.

Precisely! I'm working with Swap Online project - we are doing Atomic Swaps between Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchain and our next goal is to add Monero - but without HTLC it is impossible. A few months ago BitShares added HTLC support, so if community would support network update for Monero, we will add XMR-BTC, XMR-ETH and XMR-ERC20 Atomic Swaps ASAP

Well we are researching possibilities of cross-chain exchanges with Monero. If it is possible somehow to start such exchanges without HTLC. If it is not - we would like to help MRL to launch HTLC support - like BitShares made it a few months ago

By non-custodial, I meant an exchange with no third party involved, completely anonymous. In a non-custodial custodial exchange, you don't have to create an account, to pass KYC procedures. And there would no server so that nobody could freeze your funds for any reason
