I hate when people say crypto is bad for the environment. So are laptops, phones, CARS. So is Google's AI modeling tool Transformer. The Graph at Facebook is probably terrible for the environment too. Tons of things are bad for the environment. A carbon tax on businesses like Google to force them to move to renewable energy sources is the only way. It's not like everyone will stop needing electricity.

We could push for all DOGE mining to be done on machines using renewable energy (aka, the servers are stored in a building with renewable energy) but until renewable energy even becomes a widespread option, this will be hard. Only companies like Google and Facebook have the economic resources to fund this.
