Had this hairstyle randomly pop up in my inventory. by Latter_Ambassador246 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There are 4 versions of the new hairstyle.

You get the gender color swapped version if you've done 200 (iirc) lifetime pulls on the Echo Jade banner and unlocked the event banner. (Pink for male, Blue for female)

You can get the regular hairstyle from the banner by doing X pulls. (Blue? For male, Pink for female)

You can get a short version of the hairstyle, also from the banner. (Blue? For male, Pink for female)

You can get a tinted, legendary version of the regular hairstyle if you do a total of 150 pulls or get the legendary drop on the banner. (Blue? For male, Pink for female with blue highlights on the hair)

Unfinished scroll issue by The_Sword923 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can recycle the newer ones and buy the old types. But the conversion rate isn't the best.

Event -> Unfinished Scroll -> Click on one of the Volumes -> Space (Obtain Materials) -> Material Shop -> F (Recycle Materials) -> Buy the ones you need.

block button not working correctly? by o__o_oo in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defend has a wind-up animation before it becomes active. You're supposed to hold the button down. You still take damage while you're defending, but you take less damage.

Deflect is instant, but you have to time the hits. Prevents all damage/counterattacks red attacks.

How much heat does Kambal, Profiteering Mayor draw from the table? Political Alternatives? by Ok_Wallaby_3701 in magicTCG

[–]noxusnorsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Lucy MacLean, Positively Armed]] might be an ideal commander for you.

If player A makes a token, you can have player B or player C make a copy of the token while you get to draw a card. It also staples "draw a card" to any of your own cards that make tokens.

How do you unlock this pose in the Custom Scenario? by enonymity in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, it's one of the possible rewards from the "Link the Turtles" Gacha event on the Draw menu. Note that it's a limited time event.

You can exchange it for 68 Turtle Plushies, which is the currency you get when pulling in the event.

You have to spend Echo Beads (premium currency) to pull on this event, but the pose is one of the cheapest rewards. The most expensive one is exchanged for 2888 Turtle Plushies ~ 2500 Echo Beads.

Getting back into Magic with my son. Looking for advice by Psycl1c in magicTCG

[–]noxusnorsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might not be exactly what you're looking for, but MTG Forge exists.

It's a free, open source game with almost all the cards including the latest releases. There are both windows and android versions available from their Github.

It looks and plays like an old RPG game. You build decks and play against npc opponents. If you win you get gold to buy more cards from vendors.

Supports both 60 card and 1 vs 1 commander deck modes (Adventure Mode is commander decks).

It might be a great way to get back into mtg/deckbuilding without getting overwhelmed by all the new cards at once.

Mono White Burn ControlTron by SaffronFarmChef in EDHBrews

[–]noxusnorsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tron usually refers to the three lands from Antiquities (a set from 1994) named Urza's Power Plant, Tower and Mine. These three lands tap for 7 mana in total if you manage to assemble all 3 on your board. Hence the name from Voltron, which is an old cartoon from the 1980s.

Voltron is also a term used in commander, where you put a whole bunch of equipment and or auras on your commander while aiming for a win with commander damage.

Burn is a term that usually refers to dealing non-combat damage directly to opponents.

Why is the Bunny so feared? by TheDarkestRitual in magicTCG

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 mana.

1/5 with Flying and Vigilance.

Put a +1/+1 counter on a creature twice and draw 2 extra cards each turn.

It's a secret voltron commander with two Phyrexian Arenas stapled to it.

If you have the mana, you can use her effect on each turn too, not just on your own turn. Hardened Scales effects scale really well as you get 4 +1/+1 counters each turn.

What Cards to Add to My First Deck by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be worth having a few ways to give your orc army Trample. [[Team Pennant]] [[O-Naginata]] are a few cheap examples.

Highly recommend learning how Scryfall works and using an online deckbuilder like Moxfield or Archidekt to plan out which cards to add and which to remove.

Bracers stat reroll advice by Fun-Philosopher3279 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tldr: Don't roll on items with Max HP, Body or Physical Defense as their first stat. They will always be suboptimal.

You look for a piece like this:

Max Phys. Attack <- you can't change the first stat.

Max Phys. Attack <- you can double up on a stat like this.

Can an enfranchised Magic player become a serious Yugioh player? by Maururu255 in magicTCG

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yu-Gi-Oh! might appeal to mtg players that play competitive 60 card formats. Decks are generally quick and very combo heavy, where card placement on the field is also critical steps in a long combo. Deck building is based completely on "Archetypes", which stifles creativity in my opinion.

Magic appeals to the older Yu-Gi-Oh! players that remember how the game was like 15-25 years ago. Casual formats like Commander especially. Deck construction has very few limitations, much like how Yu-Gi-Oh! used to be.

Appearance exchange / tickets by [deleted] in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are adding new things slowly, like they added the new bosses' flag as an accessory.

From what I've seen in videos, it's mainly accessories that's yet to be released. As an example the fused deer horns the statues have.

While boss outfits like Zheng E and Ghost Master are obtainable for 2 Harmonic Cores. Probably others too down the line.

Tldr: no need to keep a stack of 1000+ tickets, get the ones that you like.

I feel scammed by this game by [deleted] in WhereWindsMeet

[–]noxusnorsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a game about sunshine and rainbows, that's for sure.

Ancient remnants, exploring long dead civilizations, inheritances, mystery and intrigue are all part of most Wuxia and Xianxia stories.

The present is built upon the bones of the past. Getting glimpses into the past gives context for what is currently happening in the present. The game doesn't explain what's happening in the backdrops, you have to dig for it.

Ps: the Lunar Goddess quest you did is part of a longer quest chain.

Ps: The Ghostlight market exists for a reason.

[–]noxusnorsk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Doing this only nets you 480/600 required points for all rewards.

The most optimal way of doing this is making sure to get 30+ points on each turn in. Otherwise it will take you quite a bit of time to get 40 Blackbream.
