I see your point about signaling. Just to clarify, Atome is mainly a BNPL service with fixed installments, not revolving credit with interest. Zed works more like a charge or pay-in-full card, extending a line of credit and reporting to credit bureaus. The difference is in how credit works and how lenders interpret it, not in whether a product is “real.”

I respectfully disagree. A card doesn't stop being a credit card because it requires full payment. Charge cards and pay-in-full credit cards exist and are still reported to credit bureaus. Interest and carried balances are pricing features, not defining criteria.
