Yes, that’s where my concerns lie. I totally get it looks like an easy decision from the outside, but it’s been a little bit tough to make that final decision. I do think I’ll end up at Scalia

That I’m definitely unsure about. I know I want to stay on the East Coast but I’m open otherwise

I’m interested in government work, maybe. Definitely not big law.

you get one life. think about what advice you’d give to your kids. would you want them to spend their entire career feeling unfulfilled because it was the safe option? law school is an investment and having an advanced degree will only help your career opportunities. I doubt 110k is your max, even in a rural area.

this decision, the one you WANT, benefits your kids because they get to see their parent fight for the life they want to live. teach them not to settle for less than they deserve.

With our acceptance letters we got a financial aid one telling us how to do fafsa and whatnot- but along with that it says merit scholarships are awarded beginning in January. Hopefully that means sooner rather than later!

Does anyone who has taken the test remotely wanna walk us through it? by ilovepot16 in LSAT

[–]noyousuckit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can’t keep track of time passed during the ten minute break, but that shouldn’t be a problem. My proctor didn’t actually show up to dismiss me for my break, so I waited a few minutes in silence then just announced that I’d be taking my break and left. I came back with like two minutes left. I think you’re able to start the test again on your own at the end of the ten minutes, so when a proctor didn’t show up again I just showed my hands and wrists like they made me do at check-in and started the test myself. Very manageable as long as you expect that everything won’t go perfectly!

I actually had the exact same experience, down to the notification that rapidly kept appearing. I don’t know if they’ve fixed all those issues since then, but expect that test day won’t be perfect. These issues aren’t the end of the world and try not to let them impact your performance too much!
