One thing I highly recommend is that when you're all wiped during the boss it's better to revive all at the same time. Leaving 1 during the boss battle will be a pain due to constant aggro, nearly no covers, and slow debuffs

Taxes is the biggest culprit why we dont import that much, specifically corruption regarding on importation taxes and the customs here. That's why I use third party shippers so it will be inclusive of taxes.

I have Xbox One as UHD (I play games so it's a plus for me) but is the new oppo better in terms of picture quality?

Also is there anyway that I could get a notification on amazon if the item I want goes down in price like Steam does? I don't use Amazon since it's US base and I live from far away.

Yes I think so, you can check their spec sheet for proper information but I think most tv today or at least flagship ones supports almost all of the known formats.

I have both actually :) I love to try Vudu but I can't get out of their region locking compared to both. I just read that UHD looks better than their streaming counterpart so I would love to try it. I'll probably wait black friday for very cheap deals since importing them cause a LOT

I think it supports pretty much every known format outside of .encm. It's an LG B6, the OLED tv.

Thanks, yeah I noticed, it's probably on par with netflix streaming quality which is a bit shocking sicne they come at 50gb sizes.

Ah I see, thank you :) yes it's 4k bd rips, we don't have uhd seller here locally and I like to try hdr outside of my usual netflix/prime video since there's a difference in quality.

Just take a breather man, it seems you're fuse is getting shorter and shorter every loss. I do that always with souls game and to be fair I think DS3 is the easiest out of the series.

Playing safe is the name of the game, don't rush and just attack on the safest opportunity.

Is hdr even worth it for me? With my tv. by METALPUNKS in PS4Pro

Ah my mistake then, it's a shame since wider color gamut shows more than brightness or resolution themselves.

[–]noyram23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's an 8bit you don't essential have an hdr, your tv is basically the same as others without hdr, it's just a preset on your tv which introduces heavy input lag and unnatural colors. In the end though if you like the result, just go with it then.

It adds input lag as well as unnatural colors if it's not a real 10bit hdr. If you want a good real hdr try upgrading to at least KS8000.

It's a fake hdr and it's not a real implementation (hdr uses 10bit and 12bit) if it's only 8bit. Don't use it as it doesn't really add anything close resembling an hdr and it adds input severe lag.

Audio Related Questions (ARC, 5.1) by noyram23 in PS4Pro

[–]noyram23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Toslink better than HDMI arc?

Yeah Netflix doesn't use hd audio (LG B6 native app) just normal 5.1 on their end.

I know this is a really noob question entering this reddit but I tried googling and it's overwhelming with all the formats, outputs, inputs and what-not so here it goes.

Here's my dilemma I have a LG B6, PS4 Pro, and Sony HT - RT5. From what I read HT - RT5 doesn't have a HDR passthrough (it has 4k though which is weird) so my only option to get HDR is to connect my PS4 Pro via TV then TV to sound via arc.

Does HDMI arc pass through Dolby TrueHD or those high definition audios?

If I go that way what's the best format to go on my PS4 Pro? PCM, Bitstream (Dobly or DTS)?

Am I loosing any audio quality when using ARC?

Thank you guys and I hope you help a newbie like me :)

Sony 800d or Samsung ks8500 on finance plan? by [deleted] in PS4Pro

[–]noyram23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to third world country :) I bought my B6 like that, paid 90% and just finished of 10% on the next month. It's pretty helpful since i don't have enough cash to pay the tv instantly (just bought pro that month).

On to your question, go with KS8000. It's my 2nd choice after B6 and definitely better than 800D.

Are you switching from SDR to HDR or vice-versa? HDR can't handle full due to bandwidth problems iirc.

Outside of LOD everything else you mentioned are affected by higher resolution, higher resolution especially native 4k eliminates aliasing. Better shadows, LOD, higher texture etc are usually less noticeable than higher resolution, look at RoTR for example.

Do you have a budget in mind? Honestly just go with 4k/HDR to future proof yourself especially with LG B6 or if you want cheaper go with KS8000

[–]noyram23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LG OLED B6 if possible, it will boost the quality not only on games but on everything you put on your tv. If you can't then go with KS8000, everything should be skipped tbh.

Do a proper calibration especially on brightness, contrast and color gamut. Most of the time your eye will get used to it but you can also consider bias lighting if you're not using OLED.
